A Little Entryway Style

Room Makeovers + Design Plans

After the purchase of the entryway table, I had been on the search for some pieces to help style the area. Last Friday, I found a great pair of lamps and a unique mirror at HomeGoods. If you follow me on Instagram, you already got a sneak peak but here are some better shots. Disregard the filthy floors and Hawkye. Unless you’re partial to dirt and darling cats.

As it turns out, we don’t have any outlets on this particular wall…oops. But, given the overhead lighting as well as the wall sconces, I think it may be okay – I like the look of lamps here – functional or not. I  have yet to cut the tags off any of the three pieces, as I want to ensure these are right for the space. And it’s safe to say I need to interject a little color into this monotone space, but I hope to do that through some art or picture frames. I don’t want to go too crazy, because with all of the windows to the courtyard, I don’t want the area feeling too busy. So, what do you think? Are the lamps and mirror keepers?

My scary goal this weekend? Paint the two story walls down this hallway {seen in the second and last picture} that need the Castle Path. Ugh.

I love the look! Once you mentioned the lamps would be non functional I didn’t care for them. I love beauty with function. If your looking to inject color why not return the lamps for white vases/urns with boxwoods on top? Home goods and similar stores carry both real and fake or perhaps another floral arrangement you prefer. I love the mirror!
