As the weather has improved the last few days, I am convinced (more like hoping) that spring has arrived and I love seeing all the pastel colors and fun prints again. I love these fabrics I found on etsy and am seriously considering making some spring/Easter pillows for our couch on the main floor with them. I know it does not go with all the red, but I am thinking I may have to seasonally transition ALL of my decor 🙂 These are the cutest fabrics and I cannot imagine not using them. I may just have to buy some plain white sheer drapes for those seasons that red does not coordinate. I think I may have ADD when it comes to decorating. However, the good part is, I can use the same pillow molds and just make new covers now that I know how to sew! I love the wood grain pattern in pastel colors that comes in this kit and I obviously love the birds!
Here is the fall version of similar fabrics. I love them and think they would be perfect for Halloween since the birds take on a crow appearance when done in black.
Here are some other cute finds from Tina Givens:
And here are some Amy Butler prints that I also really like and may be the best option if I decide against the others:
After finding the first two sets of cool fabrics, I found the designer Joel Dewberry’s website. It was so fun to see all the fabrics and I have a feeling I will be using many of these soon! I will also have to find out how to get my hands on this damask print that coordinates with the ones above (there are only two stores in the entire state that sell it and neither are anywhere near Omaha). Thank heavens for online shopping!
I’ve been looking for new ways to make my pillows and am thinking of trying to incorporate ribbon and/or buttons ~ so I spent my lunch hour at Barnes & Noble looking through magazines. Hopefully I will come up with some blogworthy ideas soon!
