It’s hard to believe but it has been a year since we adopted Henley and Hawkeye {okay – sometimes it feels like we have had them for eternity}. But as often as I post about their naughtiness, they are equally as sweet. Here’s a look back at them on this same day last year – the day we brought them home {its funny -until I looked back on this post I forgot we were thinking of the name Hudson for Hawkeye}. To this day we still refer to them as the babies.
If you recall, they had to be quarantined from Bearcat and Bailey at first so that they weren’t eaten for lunch. The two older kids were NOT happy at all! Please see Bearcat’s photo: he was trying to find an escape route by December 10th. Bailey’s face says it all….
Here are some pictures of H+H on their one year anniversary with us! They are obsessed with the Christmas tree so I thought it was fitting to take their pictures under the lights. When Hawkeye is not chasing the lights from the trees, he likes to sleep under the lights.
Hawkeye’s favorites: hanging out with Bearcat, running to the food dishes {every time we make a move to the kitchen}, rubbing against his brothers or sisters and/or parents legs, sleeping on mom’s computer chair while she is blogging or surfing the net {see photo below – usually his chin is flat on the chair but he kept lifting it as I would take the picture}, wrestling with Bearcat or Henley, eating anything, chasing reflections or lights {his favorite is knife reflections when we are making our peanut butter toast in the morning}, being outside with Bailey. Nicknames: Hawky, Hawky-man, Little Man, Mister, Buddy.
Henley’s favorites: following mom around, knowing what is always going on everywhere in the house, cuddling, rolling, cooing/talking, being bossy to everyone, sleeping with dad on the couch, stealing bread, carrying her babies around {her toy mice that look like her}, ripping up cardboard boxes with her teeth. Her classic pose is shown in the photo below – she always turns her head to figure out what is going on. Nicknames: Henny, Henners, Hennypoo, Hen, Baby Girl, Little Stinky {short for Stinker}.
They really do have two of the cutest, funniest and most mischievous personalities of any cats we have ever known ~ we are so glad we brought them both home a year ago!
