I hope you’ve all had an amazing Thanksgiving weekend! Can you believe it’s already December?! These shortened holiday windows fly by way too fast! Today I’m sharing our 2019 Christmas home tour.
With hosting Thanksgiving, our upcoming trip, Kurtis’ surgery, and then hosting Christmas, we kept things fairly simple this year. I didn’t sign up for any group tours because I honestly didn’t know if I’d even have time to decorate before we leave. So, it’s just me today and a few rooms that are dressed up for Christmas! Hopefully you’ll find a few simple ideas that will work in your home as well!
I’m sharing all my sources after the end of each room tour. You’ll notice a bunch of the items are on major sale for Cyber weekend!

Welcome to our Christmas entryway! All I did was add some garland to the staircase, a wreath on the door, and some navy blue grosgrain ribbon to make it all feel a bit more festive!
I started with a ribbon I thought would be more camel-toned, but it ended up being blush. I liked it, but after I finished decorating all the other rooms in our home, I ended up swapping the bows for this navy blue option and love it so much more!
As we walk down our entryway hallway, I add our nativity scene on this tray to our console table. I also swapped out our former greenery for some faux evergreens and called it a day! I bought these lighted birch trees to use in our courtyard planters (on the right of this photo) but haven’t had a chance to set them up. I think they’ll create such a pretty glow in the hallway at night!
CHRISTMAS ENTRYWAY SOURCES: Garland (sold out – similar here) | Wreath | Navy Blue Grosgrain Ribbon | Pom Pom Rug | Lantern Chandelier | ‘It Is Well’ Canvas | Cane Console Table (also available here) | Swing Arm Sconce | Vase | Similar Faux Greenery | Nativity Set | Similar Mirror | Door Color: Benjamin Moore Water’s Edge
As we move further down the hallway into our kitchen, I kept it super simple. I added this diamond runner rug and these lighted trees in baskets and that was it! Since we’ll be hosting Christmas this year, I didn’t want to clutter the countertops much!
I love that the lighted trees can be manually turned on, or you can use their built-in timers to have them turn on and off at the same time each night. They look so cute in our window! We have the medium and extra-large sizes here.
As we move into the living room, you’ll see I kept the color scheme fairly neutral. It’s my first time trying this for the holidays but I love it! I think I’ll be less ready to take it all down come December since it’s all so neutral.
I moved these x-bench stools in front of the fireplace and the cats love lounging on them in front of the fire!
Keeping things as simple as possible, I filled our dough bowl with leftover ornaments. I love how sparkly they look when the Christmas lights are on!
I had contemplated leaving our Christmas tree in here bare, but ultimately ended up decorating it. I actually love both looks though!
Our living room feels so cozy now!

Moving upstairs to our guest bedroom, I added some festive touches for all the guests we’re having over the holidays!
This is the first time I’ve fully shown the room since the upholstered bed was delivered and I love how it looks so much!
I’ve had this ‘O Come Let Us Adore Him’ canvas for years now and I love using it in new places around our home each year!
Although I didn’t make many changes, it feels so festive in here!

The last room I’m sharing today is our den!
We moved our flocked tree up to the room and I love how it looks with the more coastal elements in here! We’ve had the flocked wreath for a number of years and it was fun to add something festive to the board and batten wall!
On the coffee table, I added some faux greenery and a wood bowl filled with ornaments. Easy to set up and easy to take down after the holidays!
For the ornaments, I simply used the same color tones of the pillows I used in the room.
I kept the tree decor super simple too, just add some picks and ornaments in shades of white, silver and gold. It’s all so sparkly at night!
The lights from the tree and wreath make the room feel even more cozy! It’s the perfect spot for watching all those Hallmark Christmas movies!
