I was able to finally finish painting the main level hallway/entryway this weekend. You may recall I started out using Restoration Hardware’s Pale Silver but then quickly moved on to the more neutral Behr Castle Path.
Here’s how the hallway/entryway has evolved since our first walk-through last fall, to when we moved in in December, to how it all looks now.

Here you can even see a glimpse of the lime green dining room before I got my hands on it:
As you know, we are gradually trying to replace the mission and Tuscan style influences throughout the home and take it to a glam/casual/beachy/Cape style. If that makes any sense.
And here is the space now, complete with a fresh coat of paint – Behr Castle Path in Eggshell finish – along with new sconces {previously mentioned here}. The new front entry light also makes a big impact. I still need to style this space, but not sure if I should go with art/mirrors/etc. – any suggestions are more than welcome! In the first photo you can see the walls that still needed to be painted {straight ahead and to the right – the two-story walls}.
And two quick before and afters:
The space feels so much fresher and airier now. Next up is figuring out how to get a ladder to lean on those window walls so I can paint the two-story portion of the entry. Fun! And if you’re curious, the second-story lights still remain. That is another project I have yet to find a solution for!
