Steal all these amazing looks for my king guest bedroom inspiration and design board.
A totally non-Christmas related post today. I know you’re all surprised that I stalled another home project and have now totally changed direction from the plan. Well, the design in the king guest bedroom {named solely for its bed size, not that we regularly host royalty} had been bothering me. The original plan sort of felt like a disaster once I saw everything together. The fabrics, although cute together, were too cream and bright compared to the white and gray striped walls. Everything just felt off. So I put together this king guest bedroom inspiration and design board!
Bedroom Design Board
And, if you couldn’t tell by my new office plans, I have really started to love bold green. I guess I’m a year behind Pantone – or maybe I’m just a follower. I particularly love the green paired with dark grays, white and natural elements. Here are some prime examples I love {although I would go with a toned-down version of these looks}:

Clearly my love affair with Shumacher’s Chenonceau and Imperial Trellis has yet to die. Here is the new design board I came up with. I love that I can easily swap out a few elements for a totally different color scheme and new look down the road.
Product Sources: The Schumacher Chenonceau obviously takes center stage, as it should, and I added on a solid green velvet bolster pillow for some color. I love the glam factor the Pierre Mirror from Z Gallerie adds to the room. I have loved this mirror for a long time {and almost used it when I was planning our last master bedroom}, but I’m hoping to find a cheaper alternative and something similar at HomeGoods or the like. The art is by Linda Donahue {I first heard about her from the fabulous/hilarious Sherry Hart of Design Indulgence}. The baskets shown are from Pottery Barn {I would look for an affordable option at HomeGoods} and would be used to store extra blankets under the nightstand tabletops. The “nightstands” are the Industrial Mansard End Table from Home Decorators and are a great, affordable option for the industrial table look {we already own them}. The Visconti 4-light chandelier was hung here, and was purchased at Costco.
Henley and Hawkeye are permanent fixtures in this room, so it only seems right they are part of the design as well. The throw they are laying on, which was one of the catalysts to move forward in this room {random, I know}, is the Threshold Sweater Knit Blanket from Target.
The Schumacher Chenonceau has already been ordered. And the good news is I got a larger quantity than I needed because it was cheaper that route. So, look for this killer fabric in an upcoming fabric sale! I’m excited to get started on these bedroom updates as soon as the fabric arrives next week. Hopefully I haven’t changed my mind again before then 😉
