An Entryway Update with Holly & Martin

You know how the entryway of your home should tell your guests a little about what they will find inside and also make them feel welcome? Well, mine used to say that we were boring and plain and we didn’t really care if our guests felt at home. Maybe that’s not exactly what it said, but I can’t say this ‘before’ shot gave a descriptive or welcoming first impression:

It wasn’t terrifying by any stretch of the imagination but it was certainly bland. Granted, I’ve added personality to other areas of the entryway, but this wall is the first main focal point you see when you walk in. And I wanted it to say more than nothing, which is what it was previously saying.

I was recently contacted by Holly & Martin to review a product. I selected the Eamce Console and love it even more than I thought was possible. At first glance, it has rather modern lines and a contemporary overall feel that perhaps initially I wouldn’t be drawn to. However, with the right accessories I knew it would be perfect in our home {and that it could work well regardless of one’s preferred style} and would help give some contrast to other elements in the space. I love the slightly industrial vibe the metal adds to the space. Here’s how the entryway looks now:

This space is now so much more our style and definitely has some personality injected into it. This space is one of the most difficult in our home to photograph: tight corners and not a lot of uniform natural light. So please forgive the paint color variations on the walls. To style the space, I brought it some natural elements {the wood frame and woven basket} along with some glass, metal and the requisite boxwood. I love the look of this combination!

The table is the perfect depth for entryways, behind a sofa, etc. I also love the slightly patina-like finish on the metal. And that section of antiqued mirror?! So unique and adds such a pretty characteristic of this table!

And yes, before anyone calls me out on it, I still need to put a personal picture in the picture frame. But let’s be honest, this cute couple that models for Lane Furniture may still be there a year from now 😉

I couldn’t be happier with how this space evolved in the matter of a few days. Such an easy but rewarding makeover and it is the perfect little drop zone at our front entry!

Be sure to check out the Holly & Martin website or follow them on Pinterest for even more inspiration! And a big thank you to Holly & Martin for providing me with this console table. I love it and can’t believe the difference it has made in making over our entryway!

UPDATE: You can enter to win your OWN Eamces Console table from Holly & Martin on my blog until  6/8. Click here to go to the giveaway!

This is not a sponsored post. Holly & Martin provided me with the console table but, as always, all opinions are 100% my own.

Gorgeous! Love how much a first impression an entryway can make when you first enter someone’s home…and you nailed it! I would love if you linked up to our Motivational Monday party. You can access it here >> http://www.burlapandbabies.com/2014/06/motivational-monday.html.
