Sharing a collection of coastal style striped rug ideas that I found before ultimately selecting the one that was perfect for our home!
I’ve been working the past month or two on giving our main guest bedroom a fresh new look. One of the changes I made was adding a new coastal style striped rug. I looked through hundreds of options before making my decision, and thought today I would share the top textured striped rugs I considered in case any of you are on a similar search! You’ll find sources for all of the below rugs, and several more, towards the end of the post. But first, I’ll show you a few examples of striped rugs in real rooms.

Striped Rug Examples
Slowly but surely we’re making progress in our guest bedroom. We still need to install our new bead chandelier and hang our abstract artwork. But I’m so happy with the striped rug I ultimately selected. I needed a 9×12, so cost was definitely a factor. But I love this neutral tone-on-tone beachy option and how it looks so far in the space. I can’t wait to share additional updates soon! But for now, I want to talk about some gorgeous coastal striped rug options.

Another favorite coastal striped rug, is the Dash & Albert striped rug (also available here) we have in our dining room. It’s more of a mat weight, but has worked really well in this space for us!  I love the understated balance it has created in the room.

In our kitchen, I used a pair of striped runners (they come in 15 colors and multiple lengths!) to add a graphic punch to the space! It’s one of the few ways to add personality and saturated color in a kitchen full of wall-to-wall cabinets.

Striped Rug Ideas & Options
Following are some of my top contenders for coastal striped rugs that work well for many styles. Not only that, some of these are indoor/outdoor versions, so they can be worked not only inside your house, but in your outdoor spaces as well! This makes them especially perfect for spaces like dining room, kitchens and entryways because they tend to be much easier to clean. I did my best to keep all of these options as affordable as possible, but with quality options with good reviews. You’ll notice in some of the product styling pics that striped rugs can actually act as a near-neutral backdrop for your furniture and rooms!
Simply click any of the images below to learn more about each of the striped rugs shown.
I hope you found this collection of coastal style striped rugs to be helpful! I’ll plan to share more of my product searches from our guest bedroom soon. Have a great day!

Love the tan/white striped one in your guest room! Would it work under a kitchen table? Also, do you have a favorite, affordable rug pad? Thanks!

Thank you! I think it definitely could, but it also may be dependent upon the foot style of your chairs. If they’re too point, they may get stuck in the weave. I typically buy all my rug pads at HomeGoods because they are significantly cheaper than anywhere else I can find them. I hope that helps!
