Welcome to this week’s Wednesday Watch List, where I share the random things that captured my attention and stole my heart over the past week! And, if you didn’t see it already, I posted earlier the second installment of DIY Housewives – and this month we’re sharing an outdoor project!
– A really pretty coastal home tour – but the living room left me breathless. I feel like the layout is similar to ours, and I pretty much want to paint everything in sight white now after seeing this space! I couldn’t possibly love it more!
– I almost died when I saw this poolside sale the other day! SO many fun colors and bright accents for summer! So many great items for summer entertaining along with poolside and beachside items. I honestly want one (or more) of everything! By far some of the most stylish outdoor items I’ve ever seen. I ended up buying this pair of striped bamboo chairs, and if Kurtis weren’t in the picture, I can guarantee these chaise lounges would have been mine. And I want one of every umbrella for sure.
– I’ll be honest, it’s been years since I last shopped at New York & Company. And that’s mostly because I never go to the “real” mall any more (I prefer our outdoor mall). But, I got a catalog recently and was so excited to see this Empire blouse in three really pretty colors (I got the green and white). It’s basically the J. Crew top I bought almost eight years ago, that I’m regretting not having purchased more of at the time (they recently brought back a similar version at the outlet that I mentioned here). I had a coupon in the catalog and decided to head into the store and they had a lot of really cute things! I also picked up this lace-front cardigan (in green) and these scallop-hem shorts (in pink).
– These gorgeous tie dye window panels are so unique and beautiful – not to mention CHEAP (don’t let the tie dye description steer you away). They actually look like the shibori patterns that are all the rage now. And at this price, even if you don’t need curtains, you can make these into throw pillows, placemats, recover a chair, make a tablecloth….the list goes on (see the second photo below for a good look). Crazy cheap fabric at this price and it would pair well with a lot of other patterns. I bought a set for myself and now I’m just scheming up what I can do with them! Be sure to also check out this palm pillow and this pompom pillow while you’re there 🙂
– Is it wrong to buy sandals to match your pool decor? Because I totally did with this striped and leather sandal. But they’re the cutest right? And through 5/7, all women’s (and family) clothing and sandals are buy one, get one 50% online only (plus free shipping if your order is over $25). What? I might need all the colors 🙂 So, I also ended up adding these tasseled sandals (in taupe) to my cart as well!
