I have a lot of unfinished projects hanging over my head. It’s my M.O. to get about 80% done and then not finish. Ever. Then you throw in holiday decorating and you can pretty much guarantee another year’s delay. But the laundry room and office are projects I want completed 100% by year end.
It’s been over two months since I started {and stopped} working on the laundry room. But, when I was in Utah last week, I was finally able to get to IKEA to get a frame {it was a total biyatch finding a frame the right size and it still isn’t perfect} for my Michelle Armas print and now that the art is hung, I am motivated to finish the stars and get the room completed. I ordered a new light fixture on Cyber Monday and although it is different from my design board, I think it will look equally as great {I stuck with the rectangular shape} and was a fraction of the price. Here is the art in it’s frame on the unfinished wall.
As a reminder, here was my original design board. The countertops were changed here with a little spray paint so now they are dark pewter color instead of the reddish brown of the original formica. A billion percent improvement. And slowly but surely the laundry room has lost it’s flesh-tone look. The new lighting should further help in this department.
I’m excited to get this wrapped up and to have a fun space to do laundry {if that’s possible}!

That’s an awesome print and I love the stars! I’m planning on doing a little laundry room revamp myself in the new year.
