I have been trying to decide what artwork I should choose for my walls, and here are some of my options.
Does anyone else have as difficult time as I do trying to find things you love to hang on your walls? I shop around a lot but hardly find anything that I like. So the walls sit bare and just don’t look appealing or incomplete. With the exception of mirrors which are probably an easy out. The problem is I really feel like art can make or break a room but I am just not good choosing it!
I am really not sure any of these are “my style” however I absolutely love them {the majority are from etsy which is a great source for affordable, original artwork}.
The Artwork
This would be a fun choice for the bonus room where the look is fun and whimsical and not so serious and would be a great way to incorporate some additional colors.

This piece of artwork is another fun {and cheap}Â option – I’m a big fan of peacocks lately – and stylish that they are printed on dictionary pages.

I have been loving octopus prints lately too {I have no idea why – they are really kind of creepy and gross}

As a reminder, I already have this print on the wall {and LOVE it} – here is the link for how it looks in the bonus room.

I love, love, love all the artwork by Steve Gianetti and it has been on my mind for quite some time. It so reminds me of the blue ocean and relaxation and serene beaches without being the cheesy beach cliches you see in retail stores. His wife is the designer behind Velvet & Linen.  Check out these gorgeous rooms with several of his prints – I would love to get my hands on just one!

Here is a beautiful photo that emulates the same tranquil feelings:

A few other great “ocean” options that remind me of photos I took on our recent trip to Mexico.

I love fresh artwork like this for kitchens and I need something to replace the current artwork which looks too modern right now.

I have also contemplated turning photos into large canvases, similar to what I did in the guest bedroom {but in a much larger scale}.

 We bought some original watercolors in Italy last summer {for a whopping 5 Euros a piece} and we have yet to find the perfect place to hang them {or find the right frames}.  They look a little drab against the carpet but with the right frame and room I think they will be amazing. We thought they would always be the perfect reminder of our adventurous trip. I only wish I had bought more at other ports!
I really love the idea of unique, original artwork in our home. I just have to find more that I like {and can actually afford}! Any ideas on where to find great and affordable artwork?  Looks like I’ve narrowed down my selections to shoes, the ocean, food and Italy. Sounds about right 🙂
