I was excited to hear Pantone’s recent announcement that ‘Greenery’ is their color of the year for 2017! Admittedly, I haven’t really loved prior selections for many years (I also discussed last year’s Rose Quartz and Serenity). But, I think Greenery, in small doses, is such a fun color pick!
At first glance, this color seems crazy bold and a bit saturated to use in real life, but today I’m sharing items that are an easy way to incorporate the color of the year in your home!
I actually used a lot of greens in my decor in 2016, and when paired with blues and neutrals, it quickly became one of my favorite combinations.
If you look closely in the photos above, most of my greens didn’t come from wall color, significant textiles or major statement pieces in the room. Rather, small pops of green (sometimes in the form of actual greenery) helped to liven up the space and add a freshness you likely can’t get with other colors.
Following are some fun and easy ways to add a bit of Greenery to your home in 2017. Click any of the images in the graphic below (you may have to double-tap on mobile) to learn more about each of the items! I have also used the affiliate links below the image as well. Many of these items I have in our home (or hope to have soon)!
Palm Tree Art | Green Rope Basket | Faux Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree | Grass Betwixt Pillow | Fig Leaf Pillow | Faux Maidenhair Ferns | Green Glass Bottle
I actually think we’ll be seeing a LOT more of green this year, in all shades and saturation levels. What are your thoughts on Greenery?

I totally agree that I haven’t liked their choices recently (especially last year). I teased my mom that there was no need to redecorate her house anymore because blue and mauve was back in style 🙂 However, I do love greenery! Green has always been my favorite color. We just did our mudroom and used a shade similar to this as an accent color. Check it out here if you want http://www.ourcorneroftheworldblog.com/the-official-mudroom-reveal/

I’ve been trying to mix more natural greenery into the house too. Thank goodness it goes so well with navy. 😉
