This week, I thought it would be fun to change up the Wednesday Watch List a bit and do an update of some of the things I’ve included in prior lists – to let you know if it was good/bad/ugly. I hope you enjoy this little update!

The Best Fertilizer For Plants
First up, in this post, I talked about my love/obsessions for this fertilizer and how it is dramatically turning my black thumb into a green thumb. Seriously, it’s life changing and the best fertilizer for plants that I have found. The proof is in the image below with this year’s comparison. I swear it is the secret to insane planter growth. I simply shake some of this on during planting, water daily {or every other day} in the heat of summer, and then reapply every month or so. It is amazing just how much better my plants are doing when I use this fertilizer.
How To Revive Fiddle Leaf Fig Trees
Next review. In this Wednesday Watch List I talked about some fiddle leaf fig advice from Cottage & Vine in regards to taking care of your fiddle leaf fig plants. The verdict? A billion thumbs up. When I placed my ‘dead’ fiddle leaf fig outside, it had six leaves left. Total. Here it is today with at least a dozen leaves! The key is to not allow it to be placed in direct sunlight (I put mine in the courtyard where it got light virtually all day, but never any direct sunlight). It has worked wonders. Â A++!
A Favorite Throw Blanket
This throw from this post has held up really well and I am still very happy with it. And the price just can’t be beat!
A Few Summer Favorites
As expected, I pretty much wore these shades {at a total bargain price form retail} from this post the entire summer in lieu of my usual sunglasses. And quite honestly – I loved every minute of them. They just felt so summery! I’ll very likely be adding another color to my collection for next summer.
Although a little summery given the coconut base, this coconut lime cooler from this post was really good. Although I preferred it WITHOUT the cilantro, even though I’m a huge cilantro fan.
I ended up driving out the J Crew Factory store after this post and I was actually somewhat underwhelmed by the two products I posted about. I ended up buying the grey sweater with leather pockets, but the striped tee with leather sleeves was not what I expected. I am fairly sure the stripes were black and cream, but the sleeves were black leather so it felt a little off to me. I ended up buying the grey tee with black sleeves…..although, I’m not sure I’ll keep either of them :/ They’re both a little on the boxy side and it doesn’t seem to flatter my body shape. But I still love the concept of both of them so much! There’s still a bunch I kept from the store. Turns out they have an after work special on Wednesdays – an extra 20% off your purchase over $100 – on top of their regular sales! Score! It sounds like it’s not available at all locations, but definitely worth checking into if you live near a store.
Have you tried out any items from my prior Wednesday Watch Lists? Your verdict? I’d love to hear!
Don’t forget to stop back in tomorrow for our very first Pretty Preppy Party at 8 am. I’d love for you to link up all of your pretty and preppy projects!!

Your posts are interesting but difficult to read (I’m not that old) especially your links which are in light blue. Does not translate well against a white background.
thanks.

I appreciate your feedback. I will plan to make some changes going forward to make the links easier to read. I have tried to bold the popular links in this post so hopefully that helps. Thanks for stopping by!

Yes most plants need some light, maybe not all day, and maybe none at all. Did you know the tags tell you about it? I got one for the side that gets all afternoon the hot, hot and it can handle it all day long, not sure about the stuff I got to put under it truthfully I wanted some that would drape over but forgot to look at the tag, duh. Anyway lots of water, as the sun will wilt them too.
Your looks very nice, and healthy to say the least.

Really enjoy your Pinterest boards! When I click on your links in blue, nothing happens. Am I doing
Something wrong?
Sarah says
Thanks so much! I have most of my links set to open in a new window (rather than override your current screen) so is it possible your pop-up blocker is turned on? I hope that helps!

Is the fertilizer Osmocote Plus? Just want to make sure. Thanks so much.
Sarah says
Yes, it is 🙂

Just found your blog…
is the fertilizer good just for potted plants…or can it be used for hanging basket (flowers)???
Sarah says
It would definitely work in hanging baskets, too! I even use it in my flowerbeds on annuals and perennials that I want to have get bigger.

Your plants look awesome.
Is this Organic and can it be used for growing Organic veggies?
Sarah says
Thank you! And no, I don’t believe it is organic. But I do know they make a vegetable/herb version so it is safe to eat 🙂
Shelly Klinger says
You’re going to doubt me, but you do need to do a test on my favorite way to make annuals explode with growth. I promise you won’t regret it!
I use Miracle Grow in a watering can for every single watering. I make a weak batch each time using just about a fifth of what they say to use once weekly. It is truly amazing. Annuals can be stressed and even thrive like this, but perennials cannot.
Sarah says
Great to know! I’ll have to give that a try too to compare!
