Guest Bedroom Updated Reveal

This weekend, we were able to install the Feiss Charlotte Chandelier in our queen guest bedroom. To see more on the prior ‘reveal’ on this room {as well as a full source list}, check out this post.

Here is the room now with the chandelier and my IKEA hack on the Rast nightstand. I copied this one – except I used Behr Swiss Coffee paint in an eggshell finish since I already had some on hand {I still need to do another coat but didn’t want to hold up this post} as well as Minwax Wood Finish in Jacobean {I had a sample pot lying around}. The drawer pulls are from here {Lee Valley Plain Ring Pulls} – and they are spectacular. I couldn’t believe the low price and the fact that they shipped from Canada – all for such an affordable price!

I love that the paint/stain on the nightstand mirrors the color on the roman shades. It is also nice to add some storage to this room {the prior pedestal table I had thrown in here wasn’t cutting it}. Not too shabby for a $35 IKEA dresser that used to look like this:

As long as this room has taken to complete {because I’ve moved on to multiple other projects}, it’s hard to remember where we started.

These shots are from our walkthrough on the house, almost this exact time of year last year {that door open to the left by the headboard is the walk-in closet. We always keep the door shut, but it’s also the reason we can only have one nightstand}.

Seeing these comparisons definitely makes me realize just how far we’ve come! I pretty much consider us ‘finished’ at this point because the remaining two items are going to take a lot of time {and obviously a paint sprayer}. I love where we are so far though!

You know your guests are never going to want to leave right! I love the wall hangings they look like magazine racks or something, very creative and cool to have some different textures on the walls :)

This guest room looks amazing! I am obsessed with that style of chandelier – in fact, I wanted to include similar style pendants in our Silverleaf Estates model home, but was outvoted by the boys in the company! What do they know about light fixtures anyway :)
