With the exception of the pine tree, we didn’t really feel that our trees were too dead, but according to Lanoha, they were gone-dy. So, yesterday we said goodbye to our Parkway Maple, River Birch and Concolor Fir {thank heavens for those two year warranties!}.
The guys from Lanoha didn’t show up until six, and seriously did not leave until ten o’clock last night. Unfortunately, they also took out our cable when they were digging. But all is fixed now and we love our new trees {notice we moved them around a bit}. We got another Parkway Maple near the deck, a Swamp White Oak for the back fence line and a Columnar Maple near our bedroom window for privacy. They look great even if they are a little water-deprived right now in our 90 degree heat!
Some of our plants and flowers exploded this week with all the heat. We still have a lot of work to do in the yard in prep for summer but it is always fun to see new blooms after a long winter!
And all this excitement was going on while our poor kids were trapped inside. They are so deprived ~ don’t you feel so sorry for them?
