In an effort to make our home feel more “custom” we are trying to add architectural details that are lacking. One thing we have been focusing on lately is how to add some built-ins to our living areas. My main area of focus is in our living room. I would like to have built-ins extend out to the wall the fireplace is on.

We are going to start small though and begin with this area in the bonus room. And yes, this side of the room pretty much ALWAYS looks this messy {hence the need for built-ins}.
