I took a coffee table from the Goodwill and gave it a total makeover, see the results!
I finally wrapped this project up today. Remember this outdated Goodwill coffee table that I planned to redo a while back? It had a great shape but was really beat up and the top was in major need of refinishing:
Here is the final result. I think it turned out really cute and I love how the distressing of the wood turned out {although, let me tell you, its a little stressful taking sandpaper to a perfectly good paint job}! There are some obvious flaws due to the fact I kind of made up what I was doing along the way, but I am still happy with the final outcome. I spray painted the coffee table soothing white {minus the top since it was going to be covered}.  Then I distressed all the edges, found some new hardware and made buttons for the first time {securing them to the bench was the hardest part }. I then found fabric with a cool print {it was also difficult to get the edges to look right on this – I still have a little bunching on mine}. It really was a pretty quick project over all, I was just procrastinating at several stages.
